Learn about my inspiration and ideas for our L.E.A.P Meetups
During the height of the pandemic, I loathed being trapped inside. I vowed never again. Soooo…I made the decision that I am trying at least one new local business a week. Food is my love language, so I get to literally feed my passion with this mission. But then I thought, what would be better is if I could meet new people too (I’m an extrovert and people make me happy), and the idea for Let’s Eat & Play (L.E.A.P.) meet-ups was born.
This isn’t your Grandma’s lunch bunch club. We visit local Colorado Springs restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakeries, boozy brunches…you name it. I like to think of the meet-ups like friends-giving, where no one has to cook and the variety in restaurants and company keeps it interesting! In the end, we are all winners, because we are supporting small local businesses AND we get to enjoy amazing meals and friendships.
No, you don’t need to know me to start. We will get there. More importantly, you will get to meet the other people that felt compelled to join based on my mission. I have already hosted three successful meet-ups and we are planning for at least once a week for the next few months. Our first meet-ups were attended by new friends, past clients, and a few colleagues. Our conversations ranged from things to do in Colorado Springs, our businesses, and family life. If this sounds like something that you are interested in being a part of, you can check out our scheduled L.E.A.P. Meet-ups and reserve your spot at https://laurenhopecollective.com/l.e.a.p/. It is my sincere hope that you find your people and joy through these weekly meet-ups.
